DESIGN CONCEPT :
THE SITE IS SURROUNDING BY OPEN SPACE IN FRONT AND WORKSHOP ON THE REAR.
REFER TO CURRENTLY CHANGES IN THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT i.e. :
- PEOCHEY EDWARDS HOUSE AND CORNETT HOUSE HAD BEEN DEMOLISHED AND
REPLACED WITH NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. BRADLEY HOUSE ON THE RIGHT
IS UNDERGOING DEMOLITION AND ANOTHER NEW HOUSING EXPECTED TO BE BUILT.
- NEW ROAD BETWEEN THE NEW PLAYGROUND AND THE NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
OPPOSITE NO.106B INDICATED AS SIGNIFICANT GESTURE TO BE DEALT WITH.
- VARIOUS VERSIONS OF EXTENSION ON THE REAR OF THIS TERRACE SHOWN THE OPPORTUNITY
FOR DEVELOPMENT ON THE REAR EVEN THOUGH THE FRONT ELEVATION STILL MAINTAIN.
AS THE RESULT, THE OPEN SPACE LOCATED IN FRONT APPEAR AS A NEW SQUARE IS CREATED.
THIS SITUATION ALLOW NO106B TO BE MODIFIED AND ARRANGED TO ENHANCE
THE NEW LANGUAGE AND TRANSITIONAL SPACE TO MARK UP THIS NEW URBAN ORDER.

THE PROPOSAL INTENDS TO ADD IN MINIMUM HEIGHT FOR THE EXTENSION BY LOWERED DOWN
THE EXISTING FLOOR/CEILING LEVELS AND USING LIGHT WEIGHT MATERIALS FOR THE NEW ROOF.
THE FRONT FACADE WILL BE REMAIN THE SAME AND SLIGHT MODIFICATION TO THE REAR.
THERE IS VISIBLE CONFINEMENT FROM THE STREET LEVEL.

EXISTING MAIN FLAT LEVEL :
FROM THE LANDING LEVEL WHICH IS BEFORE ENTERING THE EXISTING LIVING ROOM
AND THE BEDROOM, CONTINUE 1 FLIGHT OF STAIR UP TO LINK TO THE NEW EXTENSION
BEDROOM AND STORAGE

NEW ROOF EXTENSION LEVEL
PARTIALLY REMOVED THE EXISTING BUTTERFLY ROOF TILES.
FRONT EXTENSION WILL SET BACK approx. 2m FROM THE EXISTING FRONT FACADE.
REAR EXTENSION WILL SET BACK approx. 0.50m FROM THE EXISTING REAR FACADE
(SEE PROPOSED PLAN 188/02, SECTION S1 -188/02)
BUILD WITH LIGHT-WEIGHT STRUCTURE FLOOR AND ROOF TO CREATE 1 BEDROOM
AND 1 STORAGE.
THIS ARRANGEMENT WILL CREATE MINIMUM VISUAL IMPACTED TO
THE FRONT AND REAR ELEVATIONS.

WALL :
EXTERNAL WALL WILL BE BRICK CLADDING TO MATCH THE EXISTING. INTERNAL
